Strings at Casey

Casey provides other opportunities to study the arts. Beginning in first grade, students may join the Strings in the Schools" program and take weekly lessons to play violin or cello with a teacher provided by the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra. The class is free, only requiring that students obtain their own instruments, and the Symphony is very helpful in finding instruments for students in need. Strings students perform throughout the year, ending with a final district-wide concert every spring.
