Mr. D. Hayes is currently serving his 2^nd year at Johnson Elementary School as the 5^th grade Math teacher.  He is a native of Greensboro, North Carolina and a proud alum of the illustrious North Carolina A&T State University, one of the best HBCU’s in the country. Mr. Hayes believes that representation matters, and that is one of the main reasons he decided to pursue a career in education. 

Mr. Hayes enjoys interacting with scholars throughout the school, especially assisting with the mentoring program “Boys to Men” and lending a hand to whomever needs it around the school.  During his spare time, he enjoys writing, listening to music and watching sports. Lastly, he stands firm by the quote “A Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Waste”.
